Notcho is a female, Atlantic spotted dolphin, who was already an adult when we met her in 2004. We recognize her by the notch on her peduncle, just above her tail fluke. She is one of the first dolphins whom Hardy Jones met, when he discovered her pod in the 1970s. We met Notcho’s fourth baby Jalapeno in 2011, when she was just one year old. Notcho is also grandmother. Her older daughter Scar has at least one daughter, Gurl.
